Hello everyone and welcome! My name is Ivy and I am the founder of Petite and Soignée!
I am currently a dermatology and aesthetics nurse with previous experience in the NICU and physical therapy. Over the years, I have researched and learned about different skincare products, ingredients, skin conditions, diseases, and new technologies and procedures within the field. I decided to join a dermatology practice so that I could learn more about skincare within a clinical setting. This position taught me so much about the science of skin that it led me to pursue nursing. Ultimately, I landed a job at a well known dermatology clinic in New York City where I get to perform both medical and cosmetic treatments.
I often find myself giving family and friends tips and advice on how to properly take care of their skin. I originally started this site on January 3rd, 2014, and would occasionally create different posts with topics on health, wellness, and beauty. Five years later, I decided to purchase a domain, revamp my website, and share all of my knowledge on this platform so that everyone could have a website to refer to. And so, I decided to rename my website Petite and Soignée – a platform for individuals who are passionate about skincare, health, and beauty.
You may be wondering what does soignée even mean?
Soignée (pronounced “swan-yay”) is a feminine French word meaning “elegant”, “classy”, “well groomed”, “sleek” “well maintained” or “elegantly designed”.
The word perfectly describes the way that I like to present myself on a daily basis. I will be sharing all of my wellness and beauty advice for everyone to feel soignée.
